The Old One Has My Mother
Alas, the Old One seems to have decided to taunt me all the more.
…
…
…
She has taken my mother’s attention…
…
…
…
…as well as my spot on the desk.
The Old One was on my desk when people knocked on the door, and pulled Mom from her bed where she was perusing the Book of Face, and forced Mom to pick her up. Then, she spent half an hour cuddled up on the couch with her. Now, she presides over the desk, demanding my mother’s affection and gazing out over my kingdom!
I have yet to figure a way around this, let alone a way to save my mother from the Old One’s brainwashing and mind-control.
I have been staking out the situation, but alas, no angle seems to be to my advantage. The Old One has the high ground.
Ahh, see how, even as we speak, the Old One stretches in the middle of mother’s computer screen. How dare she try to take my role!
What does she think she is doing
Mocking me?
I am not mock-ed! Perturbed, yes, but not mock-ed! Blasphemer.
Perhaps if I go eat her food and drink her water and roll on the bed she sleeps in, she will see how much more I win at life than she. Also, perhaps this shall distract her enough to retrieve my mother’s mind! Win my mother back I must!
I will go study the battle plans…once I figure out what this crazy noise is on the other side of the castle. I fear I may have too wars to wage, for the Fluffy One may need saving.

I am fairly certain that Ziva is far more interested in the wet/dry vac on the other side of the door than she is in the fact that Baby is on my desk in front of my computer screen at the moment (not sure why he needs a vacuum sounding contraption to put in a new heating element, but what do I know about plumming?).
Although, I also am equally as certain that it is the fact that Baby is on the desk that she is upset and being melodramatic and acting like she is hunting…not the fact that Mother is involved in any way. That’s just a side note.
And yes, she has IN FACT been acting like she’s staking Baby out. Presently, she’s torn between sitting where she can watch Baby and the door with the vacuum sounds. She’s tried coming up both sides, and the back of the desk, jumped in the windowsill to come from the side, and “hid” under Jamey’s desk chair, and on both sides of the couch, and on the other side of the arm of the couch staring at her with her ears pinned back.
I have tried to distract her with shiny things…but she will not be swayed. It’s tempting…and thus annoying, and thus I laugh, which annoys her more.
I might just be enjoying this too much.
